Why Choose Rosario?

Choosing a therapist is deeply personal. Here’s what clients often appreciate about working with me:

  • Trauma-informed and culturally responsive care: As someone originally from Chile, I understand the unique challenges of navigating cultural identity, immigration stress, and feeling caught between worlds. I bring a deep sensitivity to how culture, faith, and family shape our experiences of pain and healing.
  • Specialized in both individual and relational healing: Whether you’re seeking individual therapy for trauma, anxiety, or identity struggles, or you need couples/family counseling to repair connection and communication, I work holistically to address both personal wounds and relationship patterns.
  • EMDR-trained for trauma processing: I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps process traumatic memories and reduce their emotional intensity. This approach is especially effective for clients with PTSD, childhood trauma, or overwhelming life experiences.
  • Faith-sensitive and spiritually attuned: If you desire it, I can integrate faith-based perspectives into our work together, recognizing that spiritual wounding and spiritual healing are often part of the journey. My approach honors your beliefs and values.
  • Attachment-based and emotionally focused: I use Attachment-based therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) techniques to help you understand relationship patterns, heal relational wounds, and create secure, connected bonds with the people who matter most.
  • Creative and expressive interventions: With a background in art education, I integrate expressive arts and creative approaches into therapy, offering unique pathways for clients—especially children and teens—to communicate feelings and process experiences in ways that go beyond words.
  • Compassionate and collaborative: Clients describe me as warm, caring, and genuinely invested in their growth. I believe people are doing the best they can and are capable of profound change. I see therapy as a collaborative journey where your strengths are honored and your story matters.

Background & Education

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and bring professional experience in art education, organizational development, and spiritual mentoring. This diverse background allows me to support clients with cultural sensitivity, creativity, and a nurturing presence that honors each person’s unique journey.

My training includes advanced work in trauma recovery therapies (including EMDR), attachment theory, and emotionally focused approaches for couples and families. I have worked extensively with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, relationship struggles, identity challenges, and life transitions.

Originally from Chile, I am fluent in both English and Spanish, and I deeply understand the complexities of bicultural identity, immigration experiences, and the ways cultural context shapes our emotional lives.
