I have been active as a professional in the behavioral health field for over a decade in residential, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, MAT therapy, and medical settings. I work with people to overcome struggles in life through individual and group therapy focused on meeting clients where they are at and building rapport using a person-centered approach through empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I am an independently Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) sharing my own lived experience with overcoming addiction combined with a spiritual approach to assisting others develop their own self-efficacy for positive change through improving connection with others. My clinical career started in community behavioral and mental health, learning how to treat addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues with a strong specialization in overcoming trauma and addiction. Prior to starting my clinical journey in addiction counseling in 2010, I completed an MBA in finance while having worked a 20-year career in the renewable energy industry for developing nations.
