HOLLY BROWN-SISSON, LPC

Over the last 18 years Holly has dedicated her career to serving Arizona’s faith communities through her diverse background in clinical service delivery and non-profit management.  With a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona in Family Studies and Human Development and a Master’s Degree from Chapman University in Clinical Counseling, Holly has utilized this knowledge first in her tenure at Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest by developing and implementing programs for at risk youth, government funded meal and socialization programing for economically challenged elders and leading Lutheran Social Service’s behavioral health program.   

Holly has also been recognized by multiple organizations for her service to the Tucson community.  In 2012, Holly received the Spirit in Social Ministry Award acknowledging leaders within the Evangelical Lutheran Church Grand Canyon Synod’s social service community.  In 2014, Holly received from the University of Arizona’s Norton School of Family and Consumer Resources the Alumni Professional Achievement Award for her work with Pima County in developing economic, nutritional, socialization and wellness programming for elders located in three of the City’s largest Section 8 housing projects. 

In 2013, Holly rejoined Renewal Center Inc. (having once been an Intern) and today have come full circle to be called as one of God’s servant leaders as Executive Director of the Agency.

In Holly’s clinical work with her clients, she recognizes that we carry untold stories that lead us to whom we are today. Holly attempts to understand and gain insight from each individual’s unique path in life and assist them with their own unique journey in healing.  She specializes in working with individuals whom are seeking to heal from past abuse/trauma; manage the destructive behaviors of anxiety and bipolar disorder, heal from the darkness and oppression of depression and personality disorders; healing broken relationships and prepare for marriage.  Holly has an extensive background working with teenage girls, adults, couples and elderly populations.  She is trained in a variety of modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma Solution-Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method and is a facilitator for the Prepare/Enrich Inventory.
