Jodi Behn
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
JODI A. BEHN, M.S., LMFT

Jodi is a dual licensed psychotherapist in both Arizona and California where she conducts telehealth for clients in California, and in-person sessions here in Arizona.  She has been in the mental health field since 2006 working in private practice as well as in a community-based free clinic. She is a compassionate therapist and shows her authenticity through a sense of humor which is a great way to connect to clients. She has spent the better part of her adult life exploring ways to help others, professionally and non-professionally.  While living in California, she successfully ran women’s groups at her church that dealt with forgiveness, boundaries, healing from past trauma, loving others, developing self-confidence, and being spiritually connected.  She moved to Tucson in 2015, and joined Renewal Centers in 2017.

She loves working with people who want to see change and can help with goal setting and implementing strategies to reach those goals.  She will tell clients that “we are a team with you being the expert in your life” and bases all treatment plans on collaborating with the client.  Jodi feels it is crucial there be a connection between her and her clients.  And for those clients experiencing life transitions or wanting to learn to accept, forgive, or grieve losses, she provides clients the space to explore those feelings and heal.

For those couples seeking relationship enrichment, pre-marital or re-marriage counseling (second marriage), Jodi is certified as a facilitator for Prepare-Enrich facilitator, as well as a SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts) facilitator.  These are assessments that help couples explore various topics that impact marriage and remarriage.  This is typically done in a four to eight-week format.

She is a Certified Havening Techniques ® Practitioner, which is a new psychosensory touch therapy developed by Drs. Ronald and Steven Rudin that helps clients break free from past negative memories that may still feel current.  It is a gentle modality that helps calm the nervous system and create new neural pathways in the brain through the Havening Touch of the hands, arms and face.  It also assists clients in relieving stress, builds self-confidence, promotes peak performance in life, and is something that the client can be taught to do at home.

Jodi has been married to her husband since 1981 and feels her life with Dave has been a wonderful adventure. They love their family which includes two grown children, four grandchildren and an extended family. They are active in a local church, and have been Tucson residents since 2015, after living their whole lives in Southern California. Jodi’s husband is an Army Vietnam veteran, and she is a proud veteran’s wife.
